Local pickup in Los Angeles!

Stellar sounding Tele, I preferred it to the boutique/custom shop ones I was trying at the time. Pickups were replaced with custom hand-wound Tonal Concept pickups (based off the best early '51-53 tele pickups) including a replacement capacitor on the tone knob recommended by David at Tonal Concept for more clarity and definition with the roll off. Signed by the absolute legend that is Jimmy Herring (photos of him signing available upon request). 6.8lbs of resonance and spank, you'd be hard pressed to find a better Road Worn Tele out there.

From Fender:

The Fender Road Worn '50s Telecaster is an electric guitar that delivers killer aged look, feel and mojo without breaking the bank. This is a Tele that was designed using 1950s specs augmented by Tex-Mex pickups and 6105 frets.

Like classic cars or your favorite T-shirt, some things just get cooler with age. That's especially true of electric guitars, they develop an unmistakable mojo over time that makes them look even cooler and feel even more comfortable than when they were brand new. In that regard, the Fender Road Worn '50s Telecaster is a true player.
