RARE 1986 Fender Japan E-Serial JM66 Jazzmaster Vintage White All Original First Year MIJ Fujigen Offset MOJO

Here for sale is one extremely hard to source All Original First Year 1986 E-SERIAL Fender Japan JM66 Jazzmaster in a now beautifully aged, Vintage White complimented by a beautifully dark, rich rosewood fretboard. This one exhibits such a beautiful vintage patina and has the look and feel of an old, loved guitar. 

The Japanese made Fenders are really something to shout about and this JM is no exception, the fit and finish is what you’d expect of a Japanese made instrument, and is almost (if not!) just as good as it’s USA built counterparts. 

Japanese built Jazzmasters are becoming increasingly harder to source. Their popularity amongst the indie music community, coupled with high quality Japanese Craftsmanship, means demand is high and they are becoming more and more collectable; to find such a beautiful, first year E-Serial example, is almost near impossible! This particular model was initially made in limited numbers and was only available for the Japanese market and is rarely seen outside its country of origin.

Condition wise, this one has seen some use and cosmetically shows a few lumps and bumps, to prove it. There is nothing nasty, nor wood bearing, they only add to the charm of a vintage Japanese Fender, and are consistent with that of a well loved, 37 year old guitar. The Vintage White finish now exudes more of a cream hue, and the maple neck a tinted amber, giving this one a characterful, vintage look and feel. The plastics and hardware also show signs of ageing, from discolouration and tarnishing, again only adding to this JM’s “mojo.” The frets show signs of wear, specifically around the 2nd & 3rd fret, though this doesn’t effect playability and feels silky in the hands. The original electronics work smoothly, as intended, and the stock pickups offer all the charm and chime, we love and adore the Fender Jazzmaster for. To sum up, here’s one super rare and such a beautiful example of First Year Production Run MIJ JM, they don’t come around often, so be quick!

It’s been setup with a fresh set of 10-46 strings and has undergone a clean of the body, fretboard and electronics, though nothing too invasive, as we feel it’s important to not take away from its beautiful vintage patina!

Included is an aftermarket gig bag and tremolo arm.
