2011 Gibson Les Paul R9 Tom Murphy Aged Historic Reissue Sunburst Crazy Flame 1959. Here we have an incredible 2011 Gibson Murphy Aged R9 Les Paul. As you can see in the photos this guitar sports one of the craziest figured Maple tops we have seen in a long time as well as being aged by the master himself Tom Murphy. Cosmetically the guitar is in great shape with all wear being consistent with Murphy's aging processes including nicks, dings and checking. The guitar features a killer chunky C '59 neck profile with a 1st fret depth of .91", a 12th fret depth of .99" and a 1 11/16ths nut width so the neck is beefy without being too big and fits the hand very nicely. It has been recently set up and it plays great currently but like any other instrument it may need a final set up to your preference when it is received. It weighs in at perfect Les Paul weight of 8 lbs 5.9 oz and is super resonant. The guitar comes as shown with the original black Gibson Custom case, COA booklet, hang tags and checklist booklet but no additional items not shown in the photos.
